Russ Reames

I Graduated from Emporia State University 1974 with a BA in Communication/Theater. My 2nd wife and I have lived in the Kansas City area except for a time in Oklahoma City, where I managed a Long John Silver restaurant. We moved back to Kansas City where I have managed various fast food restaurants including Long John Silvers, Kay Bee toy, Route Sales for Wonder Bread, and Cain's Coffee/Tea/Spice Company, retiring from Wal-Mart. My sons and I have done some Community Theater in Lee's Summit, Raytown, and Independence.

The Who beginning their 1968,1969 tour at Shawnee Mission South has to be the highlight of all of us. I can't believe the were on before The Buckinghams. If I remember correctly the album "The Who Sell Out" was their new album with "I can see for miles."
The "Lemon Power" Incident, was a day where students wore a yellow article of clothing and had lemons. There may have been signs on the walls, and lemons were tossed around and used to write on the walls and chalkboards. At the time of this serious happening it seemed the teachers by overreacting about some small thing brought about this day.
