Kathy Zell was a wonderful friend that I was able to stay in touch with until close to the time of her death when I was in Research School of Nursing (1974-1976). I don't remember the exact date she passed in the mid-70's from Diabetic Shock, but we both went to the same church at the time, namely Leawood Baptist; & that is how I heard of her untimely & tragic accidental death. Kathy was a caring, sensitive soul, who had a wonderful, contagious laugh. I will always remember her, & the good times we always had at church camp.
Kathy was a very good friend of mine and I had talked to her a couple of days before she died. She wasn't happy in Dallas where she had been working as a dietician and wanted to return to KC. The news of her death came as a very sad surprise. Her services and buriel were here in town. - Ceci
