In high school Jeff moved from Chappaqua New York to Leawood ,Kansas. Lived next door to Kathi Cawby, across the street from Sharon Golly, and a few houses down the street from me. During our senior year,Ron Nelson,Jeff, and I got out early from school and worked at Ranchview Floral. We would always go to SomeOther Place for a deli sandwich and a pitcher of beer before work to deliver flowers. We became really good friends, where Jeff and I went on to KU, Ron went onto Drake. During our summers Jeff and I would spend our time on Marth's Vinyard, Mass., two of our roommates later became extras in the movie Jaws, we weren't so lucky. During are jr. yr. at K.U. Jeff became quadriplegic from a car accident. After spending a few months at the Craig Institute in Denver, Jeff wanted to spend the rest of his life on Martha's Vineyard. His family took him out of the Craig Institute and I helped him fly to Martha's Vineyard ,we set him up in a house with a 24/7 nurse. He loved the ocean and after nine yrs, his ashes were put to sea. He was a brave man and no person on earth should have to go thru what he went thru those last10 yrs.                                                                                                                                            At that time, Mass. was the only state in the U.S. that gave some financial aid to help out,it wasn't much but it was something.                                                                                                                                                     Now GD illegals can get free healthcare in some states!

Thanks Neil for all of that information.  I did know Jeff a little bit and visited him briefly after the accident.  Glad you were with him and helped him.  Good on you.
